Vote for the Melbourne Vixens: Sports Performer Awards

By Netball Victoria

The Melbourne Vixens have already cleaned up at state level in 2009, winning Victorian Sport Awards for Women`s Team of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year and Sportsperson of the Year (Sharelle McMahon). Now the team have been nominated for Team Performance of the Year in the 2009 Sports Performer Awards, to be held on November 25th.

Sitting pretty among a list of the country`s greatest teams including the Socceroos, Geelong Cats, Melbourne Storm and the QLD State of Origin Team, the Vixens are in with a big chance to claim the title, which is decided by public votes.

This nomination is proof of the massive impact made not only by the Vixens this year but Australian netball in general, and we encourage ALL fans of the game to click here between October 30 - November 20 and vote for the team to prove that netball has earned a place in the spotlight with AFL, rugby, football and the rest.
