McMahon to have minor knee surgery

By Netball Australia

Australian Diamonds captain Sharelle McMahon will undergo a routine end of season clean-up on her knee next week.

Having returned from a short break in the United States, the minor knee surgery is part of the champion shooter’s preparations for the 2010 season including the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

“It is just routine surgery and it is the perfect time to have it now while I have a break from netball,” McMahon explained.

“With the Commonwealth Games at the end of next year, I want to make sure I am at my best to help win the Gold Medal for Australia.”
