Netball Victoria Coaches` Conference 2009 - APPLICATIONS OPEN!

By Netball Australia / Netball Victoria

The Netball Victoria Coaches’ Conference will be held on Sunday 15 November 2009 at the State Netball Hockey Centre in Parkville.

In a significant coup for Netball Victoria, Collingwood Football Club ‘coach in waiting’ Nathan Buckley will present the Keynote Address at the conference, as well as an additional workshop, bringing his significant sporting background and emerging coaching knowledge to our coaches.

As per the 2008 conference, this year’s conference will include three different lecture streams (one targeted at High Performance coaches, one targeted at Association/Representative level coaches and one targeted at Junior/Club level coaches) as well as Buckley’s Keynote Address. It promises to provide coaches with a wealth of information from a range of presenters, and once again there will be a ‘happy hour’ at the conclusion of the day’s activities where coaches can catch up with their peers from around the State and generally wind down after a motivating day.

As well as Buckley, other presenters at the conference include: Vicki Wilson (former Queensland Firebirds Coach) and Julie Hoornweg (Melbourne Vixens Coach) as well as Olympic Basketballer Alison Tranquilli.

The Conference is open to coaches of all levels with a variety of elective sessions to choose from.
