Diamonds to battle England in Bath

By Netball Australia

World number one the Australian Netball Diamonds will take on world number three England tomorrow morning in a one off Test Match in Bath.

Off the back of the World Netball Series, despite finishing fourth, England defeated Australia and New Zealand on the way to the finals and were arguably the form team of the competition.

The Diamonds will welcome back captain Sharelle McMahon and key defender Mo’onia Gerrard into the team which will bolster both ends of the court. McMahon’s inclusion will be particularly important if the Diamonds are to shoot a winning score against the in-form England defensive duo of Geva Mentor and Sonia Mkoloma.

The match is another important step in the Diamonds preparation towards the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Support the Diamonds and keep an eye on the Netball Australia website for the full match report and statistics tomorrow morning.
