Diamonds notch up first win at Comm Games

The Australian Diamonds have made a strong start their Delhi campaign with a comfortable win over 9^thranked Samoa.

The Samoans started well against the world number one, going into the first break with just a three goal deficit, 14 – 11, but could not maintain momentum against a stronger Australian side.

The Diamonds went into half time with a 13 point advantage and increased their lead at every other break, the final margin 76 – 39.

The Diamonds’ next match is tomorrow at 10.30pm AEDST against home team India.
