Game Report: New South Wales has comfortably accounted for Tasmania 42-19, in the seventh and final round match of the 19/U DealsDirect.com.au Netball Championships. NSW shot out to an early three goal lead before TAS opened their account in the third minute of the first term. NSW went to the quarter break with a nine goal lead, 12-3. The second quarter saw TAS rally but NSW’s Megan Styles (GK) and Gabi Simpson (GD) proved too strong in defence, quickly rebounding any missed opportunities by TAS under the ring. NSW extended their lead 36-15 before half-time. Both sides were tight on each other in the opening minutes of the third quarter. Slick passing into attack by NSW Brooke Miller (WA) and Verity Simmons (C) proved effective for NSW, driving the margin out to 21 goals by three quarter time, 36-15. Both sides began to tire towards the closing stages, making unforced errors resulting in a low scoring final quarter. TAS held NSW to their lowest scoring term, totalling six goals for the quarter. The game had already been won, NSW cruising home to an easy 23 goal win, 42-19. NSW have emerged as real final contenders for this year’s U/19 title and this win will only give them greater confidence going into finals tomorrow. Game Sheet | 1st Qtr| 2nd Qtr| 3rd Qtr| 4th Qtr
